Vonsovsky Gold Medal

From the Statute of S. V. Vonsovsky Gold Medal and Distinguished Scientists of the Urals Awards

To reward scientists for outstanding scientific labor, scientific discoveries and inventions, which have a great importance for science and practice, the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences has established S. V. Vonsovsky Gold Medal and Distinguished Scientists of the Urals Awards.
The Vonsovsky Gold Medal is awarded for a great contribution into organization and development of scientific research in the Urals. The Vonsovsky Gold Medal monetary reward amounts to 100,000 rubles.
Vonsovsky Gold Medal is awarded annually. The decision to award the Vonsovsky Gold Medal is taken by the Presidium of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
